There are two assignment types: Blog Post + Social Shares, and Social Assignment.
Choosing the right Assignment Type is important because Assignment Type affects how the platform verifies content, which in turn affects analytics, the status of assignments for each influencer, and whether influencers are paid.
Let’s look at each Assignment Type.
12. Type 1: Blog Post + Social Shares:
Choose Blog Post + Social Shares if you want influencers to create one or more blog posts for an assignment. When you choose this Assignment Type, you tell TapFusion to create tracking links that influencers add to their blog posts, which the system then uses to verify publication.
13. Type 2: Social Assignments:
Choose Social Assignment for assignments other than blog posts—for instance, for YouTube video assignments, Pinterest, Instagram, Vine, Twitter, or Facebook assignments. TapFusion verifies publication for this Assignment Type after influencers add URLs to social posts in the platform.
A: If you think an assignment might require blog posts, choose the “Blog Post + Social Shares” Assignment Type so the system will generate embed codes for the blog posts. If you later find you don’t need blog posts—that the Assignment Type is actually Social Assignment—then we recommend creating a new assignment with the new requirements. Otherwise, the system will be looking for embed code that will never be published. And if the code isn’t published, the system can’t verify. If the system can’t verify, influencers can’t be paid—at least not without headaches and workarounds.
Specifying a number of posting dates per influencer
14. The number you enter into this field tells TapFusion how many posting slots, or days, each influencer may choose for an Assignment.
For our hypothetical Bright Looks Launch assignment, we want influencers to post seven unique pieces of content on seven different days.
When you’re ready, click SAVE. The system creates your program and returns you to the main PROGRAMS page.
The next step is to add assignment details.
A: Most TapInfluence customers think of a “date” in terms of a main piece of content.
For instance, if you want a group influencers to create seven different images—different main pieces of content—and to post them to Instagram seven different times, then you’d enter “7” in this field so that system knows to allow each influencer to choose seven posting dates.
But if you want influencers to create a single image, and to post it to all of their social channels on the same date, then you’d enter “1” in this field to tell the system to allow each influencer to choose only one posting date.
Number of posting dates will make more sense when you see the calendar, coming up shortly.
