You may only have one Google Analytics account on your blog at a time. Google Analytics authentication automatically connects to the blog URL you entered in your Media Kit. Google Analytics is looking for your unique website identifier code, which is an analytics snippet beginning with UA followed by your web property ID (ie. UA-XXXXX-X). Please search your website code to verify that you do not have more than one UA code. If you locate a duplicate, you must remove the code that does not represent your Google Analytics web property ID.
One method to search your code is by viewing your source in a web browser. To view your source, you can right click on your site or in Chrome you would go to View > Developer > View Source. To learn more about your Google Analytics code and web property ID, please visit Google’s Guide. Please note, Google Analytics authentication takes 24 hours to completely calculate, though you should see some initial numbers once you verify. Please wait 24 hours before verifying if your number is correct. The number that will be displayed reflects your monthly unique visitors from the previous calendar month. If have a Google Analytics account but can’t find the UA number on your website or deleted all UA codes inadvertently, you can add it back on by going to Google Analytics http://www.google.com/analytics/ and login to see your website. On the Main Window that lists all of your sites, find the site you need to fix then under the column "Actions," click Edit. From the Profile Settings window for that site, click Check Status on the upper right side of the window to obtain your code. Copy the code and paste it into your webpage immediately before the </body> tag. If you continue to have issues with Google Analytics on your website, refer to their help section here.
The wrong Gmail account or website is associated with your TapInfluence profile and is directing the platform to the wrong Google Analytics account or website Please modify your profile so that it contains the correct Gmail account, web address etc. A common mistake for web address are including a "www." when the actual blog site excludes the www. or vice versa.
Your blog address "redirects" to a different blog site. This will not enable Google Analytics to connect properly to the correct website.
